The Production Control Coordinator I is responsible for the coordination and execution of work orders to support Planning. They are responsible for releasing and prioritizing with Operations and Manufacturing while also maintaining, coordinating, and strategizing for the current month build plan. This entry level position requires 0-1 years of experience working in a production/manufacturing environment. The Production Control Coordinator I works closely with all internal SIG departments, especially Operations, to tie together all major deadlines.FLSA:
Non-Exempt Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate flow of work between departments of manufacturing plant to expedite production. Confer with department supervisors to determine progress of work. Distribute work orders to departments. Track and follow through on expedited purchased parts from delivery to receipt to stock. Use computer system to track and locate production units. Assist with tracking inventory levels and material status. Maintain safe operations by abiding by all safety, health, and quality procedures. Engage in Continuous Improvement projects/tasks. Communicate effectively to supervision regarding problems and corrective action. Participate in and sustain 5S Standards. Must follow all required Safety and ISO procedures. Miscellaneous duties as assigned.Education/Experience & Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent, or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Typically requires 0-1 years of experience. Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) required, Oracle experience required. Must be able to clearly, concisely, and accurately convey ideas and information to others, both verbally and in written form. Ability to complete assigned tasks on time. Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities/projects simultaneously.Working Conditions:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer using a keyboard and mouse performing repetitive tasks. Ability to open file cabinets, reach with hands and arms, bend, and twist, lift and move files. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
