PRODUCTION LABOR

7:30am-4:00PM M-F Must be able to distinguish colors Forklift skills a must Prospect will be required to pass written and driving tests

Quality Control :

remove and replace imperfect pavingstones (5-45 lbs ea) along a conveyor belt. Requires bending and lifting.

Bagging :

Cover palletized pavingstones with heat shrink bag while on the conveyor, use heat gun to shrink bag on to pallet. apply peel and stick labels. Conveyor is knee high and top of pallet is chest height. Requires bending at waist, lifting arms above shoulders, continuous squeeze on trigger of handgun. Stepping up and down three steps.

Forklift :

On and Off forklift to move completed pallets from conveyor to storage area. Combine by hand partial pallets into complete pallets. Assist changing color pots. Requires bending, lifting and moving stones (5-45 lbs ea) and covering with bag. On/off forklift. Clean moulds : On/Off forklift to move 800+ lb production moulds. use chain hoist to lift onto cleaning table, use hand scrapers to clean dried cement from mould cells and frame. use chain hoist to reassemble mould, use forklift to put mould away. Requires continuous grasping of hand tools, repetitive scraping motions. Pallet repair : Manually separate empty pallets (40+ lbs ea) between immediately reusable or requiring repair, use forklift to relocate reusable pallets back to plant. Manually lift pallet to repair table, use crowbar and hammer to pry off broken boards, use 10 lb nail airgun to attach new boards using hammer as needed. Restack repaired pallets and use forklift to move to production plant. Requires bending, lifting, twisting, use of hand tools, on/off forklift

Cleaning Plant :

Cement mixer and hoppers need to be cleaned after every shift. Requires climbing into equipment and using hand scraper and/or air chisel to break off dried cement. Production overburden is shoveled into waste bin and hauled out with forklift. Requires bending, sweeping, climbing stairs, using hand tools, pushing, lifting.

Pay:

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
