Production Manager or Plant Manager Job Summary The Production Lead oversees daily pillow manufacturing operations to ensure production goals, quality standards, and safety requirements are met. This role coordinates production staff, monitors workflow, troubleshoots operational issues, and helps maintain efficient manufacturing processes for pillow assembly, filling, sewing, packaging, and shipping preparation. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise production line employees during assigned shifts Coordinate daily manufacturing activities to meet production schedules and output targets Monitor pillow filling, cutting, sewing, inspection, and packaging processes Ensure product quality standards and specifications are consistently maintained Train new employees on equipment operation, safety procedures, and company policies Monitor employee performance and provide coaching and support Maintain accurate production records, inventory usage, and downtime reports Troubleshoot machinery or workflow issues and escalate maintenance concerns when necessary Enforce workplace safety, housekeeping, and OSHA compliance standards Collaborate with warehouse, maintenance, and quality control teams Assist with process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste Ensure materials and supplies are available for uninterrupted production Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical or manufacturing training preferred 2-5 years of manufacturing or textile production experience Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred Knowledge of pillow manufacturing, sewing operations, textile handling, or filling equipment is a plus Ability to operate industrial production equipment safely Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Basic computer skills for reporting and inventory tracking Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Frequently lift and move materials up to 50 lbs Ability to bend, reach, push, and pull throughout the shift Comfortable working around industrial machinery and production equipment Work Environment Manufacturing or warehouse facility environment Exposure to textile fibers, machine noise, and varying temperatures May require overtime, weekends, or rotating shifts during peak production periods Preferred Skills Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience Knowledge of quality control procedures Forklift certification is a plus Bilingual communication skills are beneficialPay:
