Full-time Position Summary Sjoberg Tool is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead and oversee metal fabrication and sheet metal manufacturing operations , including laser, press brake, welding, turret, and shipping. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for driving safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. What You'll Do Lead and supervise production teams across departments including Laser, Press Brake, Weld, Shipping, and Tool Room Execute production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements Promote and enforce safety, quality, and company policies Manage staffing, workflow, and productivity to optimize efficiency and control costs Coach, mentor, and develop team members to meet performance expectations Drive Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate equipment repairs with maintenance Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Purchasing to improve processes and reduce costs Conduct employee performance reviews and support development planning Ensure accurate timekeeping and manage team attendance and labor hours Daily Responsibilities Communicate daily production plans and priorities across departments Ensure proper staffing and shift readiness Review schedules, timecards, and production data for accuracy Lead production meetings, huddles, and shift handoffs Spend time on the shop floor supporting and coaching team members Monitor production schedules and adjust based on changing priorities Address employee concerns and collaborate with HR as needed Qualifications 8+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment Strong leadership, problem-solving, and team-building skills Experience in metal fabrication, sheet metal, or similar manufacturing processes Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement Familiarity with quality systems and production standards Proficiency in Microsoft Office and manufacturing software (ERP/MRP systems preferred) Ability to read and interpret blueprints, routings, and technical documents Associate degree in management, business, or a related field preferred Work Environment & Physical Requirements Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and noise Ability to stand/walk for extended periods Ability to lift and move materials up to 45 lbs as needed Why Join Sjoberg Tool?
