Production Manager Chamberlain, SD Onsite, Permanent/Direct Hire, Full Benefits Relocation Assistance Available Summary:
The Production Manager for Core & Cooler Operations is a strategic leader responsible for multiple departments (e.g., Fin/Profile, Core Assembly, Welding). This role ensures that safety, quality, and delivery targets are met in a high-mix, low-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership:
Manage daily operations across multiple departments, making real-time decisions to optimize output.
Team Development:
Lead, coach, and develop a team of frontline supervisors and production staff.
Performance Metrics:
Oversee production reporting, labor efficiency, and staffing alignment within the SAP environment.
Safety & Compliance:
Foster a "Safety First" culture, ensuring strict adherence to PPE standards and environmental regulations.
Continuous Improvement:
Partner with engineering to implement cost reductions and process improvements.
Qualifications Experience:
7-10+ years in manufacturing, with 3-5 years in a management/leadership role.
Knowledge:
Deep understanding of heat exchanger manufacturing or heavy industrial production.
System Skills:
Strong proficiency in SAP/MRP systems and the ability to interpret technical blueprints. 3.
Manufacturing Engineering Manager Location:
Mitchell, SD Summary:
This senior role oversees the engineering team and the technical roadmap for the Mitchell plant. The Manager is responsible for the design of production tools, the integration of new machinery, and solving complex production problems related to materials and fabrication.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Engineering:
Oversee the design of production tools, machines, and fabrication techniques to support plant growth.
Project Management:
Lead large-scale capital expenditure (CapEx) projects, including the setup and validation of new equipment.
Mentorship:
Supervise and mentor the Manufacturing Engineering team, teaching technical skills and fostering professional growth.
Process Innovation:
Drive plant-wide innovation in CNC programming, CAD/CAM tools, and precision manufacturing.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work closely with the Plant Manager and Production Manager to align engineering efforts with business objectives.
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
Experience:
5+ years of experience in tool/machining design and engineering leadership.
Technical Skills:
Advanced knowledge of machining practices, fabrication techniques, and LEAN principles.
