Production Manager

Job Summary:

Responsible for overseeing the operations of various production departments and supporting the overall operations as necessary. This role will involve managing the production process, ensuring efficiency and quality, and implementing process improvements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategies to optimize plant operations and improve productivity.
• Monitor production schedules and ensure on-time delivery of products.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles to streamline processes and reduce waste.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage the supply chain to ensure timely availability of materials and components.
• Oversee quality control processes to maintain product standards.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.
• Support and fill in for Plant Manager when necessary.
• Develop and manage production improvements, minimize waste and identify cost controls.

Education and Experience:

• Proven experience in plant supervision or similar leadership positions in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and process improvement methodologies.
• Mechanical knowledge to understand the functioning of production equipment.
• Proficiency in supply chain management, including inventory control and MRP systems.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Effective communication skills to liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to move throughout the production facility without difficulty in maneuvering around obstacles and getting into small spaces to communicate with employees efficiently. Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance.

Pay:

$60,684.61 - $73,082.55 per year
