Sunday-Thursday | Night Shift Position Summary The Night Shift Production Manager is responsible for leading nightly production operations within a sweet potato fry manufacturing facility. This role oversees a team of 5-7 production employees while ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production performance. The ideal candidate is bilingual in Spanish and English and can effectively communicate with production employees, engineers, maintenance personnel, and leadership to support plant goals and continuous improvement initiatives. Mission Produce safe, high-quality sweet potato fry products efficiently while maintaining production flow, food safety standards, and team accountability throughout the night shift. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise a team of 5-7 production employees during night shift operations Ensure production lines operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards Coordinate closely with engineers and maintenance mechanics to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance Monitor production output, yields, waste, downtime, and labor efficiency Ensure all products meet food safety, quality, and customer specifications Support troubleshooting efforts on processing and production equipment Enforce GMPs, sanitation standards, and workplace safety procedures Conduct shift start-up meetings and communicate daily production expectations Train, coach, and develop production employees Assist with staffing coverage, scheduling, and employee accountability Maintain accurate production records, downtime reporting, and shift documentation Communicate production concerns and operational updates to management Support continuous improvement projects and operational efficiencies Ensure proper product handling, lot control, and production traceability Qualifications Bilingual in English and Spanish required Previous leadership experience in food manufacturing or production operations preferred Experience in frozen food, potato processing, or fry manufacturing strongly preferred Strong communication and team leadership skills Ability to work effectively with engineers, mechanics, and production staff Knowledge of food safety, GMPs, HACCP, and OSHA standards Ability to troubleshoot operational issues in a fast-paced environment Basic computer and production reporting skills preferred Ability to work night shift schedule consistently Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to work in cold and warm manufacturing environments Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally Ability to climb stairs and work around industrial equipment safely Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Production efficiency and throughput Downtime reduction Waste and rework reduction Food safety and quality compliance Attendance and team accountability Safety performance Shift communication and documentation accuracy Work Environment This position works in a fast-paced sweet potato fry production facility and requires close collaboration with production teams, engineers, quality assurance, warehouse personnel, and maintenance staff to ensure nightly production goals are achieved safely and efficiently.
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
