Job Description

The Production Planner will be responsible for maintaining production schedules based on immediate production requirements to ensure the timely delivery of both regional and global requirements. Responsible for maintaining various planning systems, monitoring capacity loads and identifying possible manufacturing constraints. Responsible for the consistent flow of raw materials into the facility to support current production requirements. Responsible for the monitoring and coordination of Orient containers into the facility. Responsible for the monitoring of obsolete material and preparation of appropriate documentation for the disposition of materials deemed unusable. What you'll do as a Production Planner Directs efforts towards the effective generation and coordination of production scheduling and material flow functions to ensure timely delivery to support internal/external customer requirements. Maintains accuracy of planning systems and schedules to ensure accuracy of signals for the timely ordering, manufacturing and delivery of components. Responsible for reviewing system-generated proposed orders and resolves any exceptions. Prepares and issues regular and timely production reports to manufacturing. Aligns production schedules and equipment capacity to maximize efficiency and profitability. Conducts bi-annual review of lot sizing strategy and makes appropriate recommendations to management based on current build plan, capacity constraints and equipment utilization. Prepares excess and obsolete materials report to support reviews for substitution and brings forward substitution options for consideration and approval by management. Identifies and reconciles physical and systematic inventory discrepancies through analysis and investigation of Cycle Counts and Failed Goods Movements, posting job tickets and unreported quality or waste issues. Responsible for the generation and issuance of raw material requirements to suppliers. Responsible for delivery of standards of performance measurements within scope of responsibility We're looking for a Production Planner with: Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business, Operations Management, or related field (preferred). 3+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment. Experience in a high‑volume or Lean manufacturing environment. SAP System knowledge and understanding of advanced planning systems. Strong understanding of supply chain principles, inventory management, and MRP/ERP systems. Proficiency in Excel and planning tools. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
