Production Planner Join Kistler - A Global Leader in Measurement Technology! Purpose of the position Purpose of the Position As a Por at Kistler Instruments, you will be responsible for the data governance to include creation, and maintenance within the SAP ERP system. You will work with cross-functional teams to facilitate master data requests, ensuring they are actioned accurately and quickly. You will assist in identifying areas of improvement to enhance data quality, accuracy, controls, and execution time. Planning to include the preparation and sequencing of production orders within the Kistler site for assigned products. Develop master schedule and ensure adequate supply of inventory to satisfy customer expectations and needs. Act as back up for within production planner. Your typical day Main Tasks Work preparation/Master Data Governance (60-75%) Verification and final confirmation of material workflows/routings as well as production/reference documents Provide master data support for all new products and configurations. Verification of pricing concepts to ensure consistency and accuracy in pricing Maintain material setup, bills of material (BOM), inspection criteria and other related master data as necessary Identify and communicate the need for new processes and procedures to improve master data accuracy. Process change requests as needed in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and proper communication Support product cutovers specific to data management to mitigate product obsolescence and maximize revenue potential Production planning (25-40%) Develops master schedules to establish sequence and lead times of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts, customer orders, and / or stock requirements. Analyzes production specifications and capacity data and performs calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and resource requirements. Plans and schedules workflow for the respective department operation based upon established manufacturing sequences and lead times. Confers with Production Supervisor to determine status of assigned projects. Expedites and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions. Prepares various production reports. Prepares lists of required materials, tools, and equipment required for special projects. Analyze trends and plans for future customer or stock orders. Knowledge of SAP master data fields which drives forecasting, planning, production control and shipping functions. Other duties may be assigned as required. Your profile Minimum 2 years' experience with a 3rd party integrated ERP system generating and maintaining master data. SAP preferred but not required Bachelor's Degree in Business and/or Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience is required. Excellent Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word & PowerPoint. Reliability, willingness to be adaptable to changing business and priorities Ability to use independent judgment and discretion to preform tasks and assignments. Must possess strong problem identification and problem solving skills, confident in decision making ability. Solid, in-depth working knowledge and experience in master scheduling, resource utilization, level loading, project management, obsolescence, and forecasting. Strong communication and organization with ability to explain complex topics and influence team members. Detail and process oriented, highly motivated, and able to take initiative without immediate supervision or direction.
Physical requirements:
