Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Production Planner to join our manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will orchestrate the production scheduling process to ensure optimal efficiency, meet customer demands, and uphold high-quality standards. Your expertise in production management, supply chain analytics, and ERP systems will drive continuous improvement initiatives and streamline manufacturing operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment where your planning skills and mechanical knowledge will make a tangible impact on our plant's success. Duties Develop and maintain detailed production schedules to align with demand forecasts and inventory levels. Coordinate with manufacturing, supply chain, and procurement teams to ensure timely availability of materials and resources. Monitor production progress daily, adjusting plans proactively to address bottlenecks or delays while minimizing downtime. Analyze data and manufacturing metrics to identify opportunities for process improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives. Collaborate on process improvements aimed at enhancing productivity, quality control, and waste reduction across the plant. Support plant management by providing accurate production forecasts, capacity planning, and inventory management insights. Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and operational procedures throughout the production process. Requirements Excel proficiency is a must. Comfortability with Pivot Tables / Power Pivots Proven experience in production planning within a manufacturing environment, with strong knowledge of supply chain management principles. Proficiency in ERP systems such as DSI (dairy.com) or similar platforms; experience with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) is essential. Solid understanding of lean manufacturing techniques, continuous improvement methodologies, and process optimization strategies. Mechanical knowledge or background related to manufacturing processes and assembly operations. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret supply chain data and implement effective solutions. Attention to detail is a priority, ability to catch mistakes and bring them to the attention of the team Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration and reporting. Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management or related field is preferred. New graduates are encouraged to apply Minimum 5-7 years of experience in manufacturing production planning preferred
