None Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Planner to support scheduling and material coordination activities within our aerospace manufacturing operations. The Production Planner will play a critical role in ensuring efficient production flow, accurate scheduling, and on-time delivery to customers. Working closely with the Master Scheduler, Engineering, Procurement, Quality, and Manufacturing teams, this role utilizes
EPICOR ERP
to manage work orders, maintain accurate production data, and support capacity planning initiatives. Key Responsibilities
  • Create, release, and maintain production work orders based on the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and material availability.
  • Utilize
EPICOR ERP
to monitor production progress, identify variances, and update job statuses as needed.
  • Coordinate with Procurement to ensure timely availability of materials needed for planned production.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality to resolve schedule constraints, part shortages, or routing discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate planning data, including lead times, order policies, BOM updates, and capacity inputs.
  • Support capacity analysis by reviewing work center loads, identifying bottlenecks, and escalating issues to the Master Scheduler.
  • Prepare scheduling reports, KPIs, and status updates for operations leadership.
  • Assist in root-cause analysis for schedule delays and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure planning and scheduling activities comply with aerospace industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Support the development and implementation of standardized planning processes across the department. Qualifications
  • 2-5 years of experience in production planning or scheduling within aerospace or another regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with EPICOR ERP or similar MRP/ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
  • High proficiency in Excel and comfort working with data-driven planning tools.
  • Understanding of MRP principles, BOM structures, routings, and capacity planning fundamentals. Preferred Skills
  • APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.
  • Experience working with multi-level assemblies and precision aerospace components.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement methods, and AS9100 standards.
