We have an opening for a Processing Supervisor. The position of Processing Supervisor at Second Nature entails the crucial task of overseeing the operations of the Blending and Roasting department during their designated shift. This role plays a vital part in fulfilling our overarching vision of making things better by nourishing people and nature. This leader will be responsible for providing direct supervision, training, and guidance to hourly manufacturing employees, ensuring the safe operation of daily activities while meeting established production schedules, communicating production goals and objectives to achieve results and maintains a high standard of product quality while maximizing plant efficiencies in support of continuous improvement within our packaging department This is an on-site position. Monday-Friday (weekends as needed) 2:30pm-11:30pm typical schedule.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead and train manufacturing employees, ensuring safe operations, and meeting Processing schedules. Optimize productivity by ensuring proper inventory & sustainability standards are followed Maintain compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality policies. Foster an inclusive and respectful team environment, promoting employee engagement. Resolve issues and implement corrective measures when necessary. Build strong customer and supplier relationships across all levels of the organization.
Qualifications:
High School Education or equivalent. 4 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting. Experience driving a Hi-Lo and/or Forklift Strong commitment to safety and quality. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Exceptional interpersonal and teamwork abilities Strong reasoning and decision-making skills for the Processing floor Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, you will regularly work near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment can be high and employee may be required to wear personal protective equipment. This is an indoor food manufacturing setting. Physical Demands Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, you will be regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and use your hands to control computerized equipment and machinery.
