Production Scheduler

New opportunity for a Production Scheduler to join the team of a leading manufacturer in the Rochester area! Collaborative work environment coupled with competitive pay & benefits for this dynamic company! The Production Control Scheduler position is responsible for planning and scheduling activities. This position is responsible to oversee daily production schedules and ensure that finished good inventory levels are managed properly and is responsible for all shipping and receiving activities.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Develop and maintain customer forecast, master schedule and procurement plan based on history and sales opportunities. Responsible for inventory control and monitoring of customer systems and requirements. Review and update forecast, production schedules and material requirements; and work with Sales and Operations to develop and manage forecast. Proactively review material supply of purchased cores from outside vendors and coordinate outside services such as coating and heat treat. Review material shortages, stock outages, and safety stock levels in coordination with Purchasing and Operations to meet customer requirements. Propose changes when needed. Assist in resolution of MRP and planning discrepancies, create new customer part numbers and load bills of materials. Schedule plant production in ERP system using requirements from customers and working in conjunction with Operations.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

High School Diploma or equivalent At least 5 years' experience scheduling in manufacturing. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite. Ability to understand and learn Lean Manufacturing.
