Direct Hire Production Specialist in Georgetown, KY
Job Summary:
Direct and manage plant operations in our glass department. Located in the charming city of Georgetown, Kentucky, known for its rich history and beautiful landscapes, this role offers a unique opportunity to join our team in a dynamic and growing community.
Responsibilities:
Direct and manage plant operations for production, maintenance, quality, and shipping/receiving. Coordinate plant activities with departmental managers to ensure manufacturing objectives are achieved in a timely and cost-effective manner. Develop and manage budgets, financial plans, and profit goals. Implement cost-effective controls over capital expenditures, operating costs, client, wages, and salaries. Manage capital asset maintenance programs and processes. Establish and monitor overall plant performance to meet production and quality standards. Control and minimize labor overtime, premium freight, and repair expenses. Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment; oversee replacements and necessary adjustments. Provide leadership, coaching, and training to accomplish company goals and objectives. Implement and maintain preventive maintenance programs. Promote 5S practices, shop floor organization, and facility cleanliness. Provide direction, development, and leadership to production supervisors. Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements and
TS-16949
standards. Support and comply with
ISO-14001
responsibilities and requirements. Consult with engineering personnel regarding machine and equipment modifications to improve production and product quality. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Previous factory or warehouse experience is preferred. Familiarity with assembly line operations and manufacturing processes. Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic equipment issues. Ability to operate forklifts is a plus; certification may be required. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration. Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
