What We Need:
We are looking for a Group Leader/Production Supervisor to join our 2nd Shift HNI Workplace Furnishings Operations team at our Oak Steel facility.What You Will Do:
Organize team efforts to deliver KPI's Lead MDI discussion with team and ensure visual management is relevant Work with team on daily staffing requirements and manage changes Monitor progress to goals and communicate gaps Daily 5S and safety walks Partner with MCR for issues/concerns Partner with internal customers to achieve daily delivery/quality 8D investigations to drive root cause for quality concerns Complete other standard work as neededWhat You're Good At:
Team & relationship building- motivate and empower members on the team to achieve daily and breakthrough goals Concise communication
- members in this role must be able to clearly and quickly articulate issues and potential solutions Problem solving
- use lean tools and problem solving methods to build up members to become skilled problem solvers Change agility
- Group Leaders must be catalysts for change; members in this role will be looked upon to consistently and constantly react to changing needs, situations, and priorities Results driven
- successful members in this role display a bias for action and desire to proactively address issues
What You Have:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Organizational/Business Management, or a related field preferred. 1-3 years of direct labor supervision in manufacturing, distribution, retail, or customer service, with lean manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
