Position Overview:
Linde is seeking a dedicated and safety-focused Production Technician to join our team in Fort Dodge, IA . In this role, you will be responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of a Liquid Carbon Dioxide Production Plant . You'll perform a variety of tasks including equipment operation, routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to operational excellence.Schedule :
Monday-Friday, day shift, with weekend and on-call responsibilities as needed.Key Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor Liquid CO2 equipment to ensure safe and efficient production. Read and interpret electrical schematics, process diagrams, and one-line drawings. Perform routine inspections, calibrations, and troubleshooting of process analyzers and control systems. Conduct mechanical maintenance and light electrical/instrumentation repairs. Monitor process performance and adjust to maintain product quality and efficiency. Safely troubleshoot and maintain rotating equipment such as compressors, pumps, fans, and valves. Operate forklifts and man-lifts as needed. Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and annual compliance and inspection tasks. Execute equipment isolations, lockout/tagout procedures, and issue permits for maintenance work. Drive company vehicle to perform pipeline locates and other field tasks. Communicate effectively with team members, contractors, and other departments. Work outdoors in various weather conditions. Perform other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with tools. Strong electrical and instrumentation aptitude and hands-on experience with tools. Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, work at heights, and in confined spaces. Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed. Valid, unrestricted driver's license. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Preferred Qualifications:
Associate degree in Process Technology, Instrumentation, or related technical field. 3+ years of experience in industrial production or plant operations. Experience with instrumentation calibration and troubleshooting. Familiarity with control systems and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). Proficiency with precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers).About Linde:
