1 MSA Safety in Cranberry Township, PA is hiring for a Production Technician I for Final Assembly. This position is primarily responsible for: Following predetermined procedures to assemble, modify and rework moderately complex products and/or sub-assemblies requiring wiring, soldering and connecting. Following predetermined test procedures and performing minor troubleshooting at the assembly level to ensure proper operation of the instruments. Packing products and accessories according to customer specifications. Adherence to safety, housekeeping and quality standards as they relate to production and the company's objective is required. Maintaining production goals through productivity targets and cost containment by eliminating waste.

Responsibilities:

80% Assembles and tests, including set-up, of moderately complex instruments and/or sub-assemblies requiring wiring and soldering following predetermined procedures. 10% Packages instruments and picks material from the warehouse. 5% Visually inspects and performs minor repairs. 5% Completes and maintains relevant paperwork and inputs information in the computer system.

Qualifications Requirements:

Minimum 3 months electronics manufacturing or other related experience required. Length of time required to become proficient on the job, producing work of acceptable quality and quantity is from 6-9 months. High School Diploma or equivalent.
