- Job Description This role supports manufacturing operations by monitoring print and seam quality, handling and palletizing rolls, and accurately recording production data in the warehouse management system.
You will work in a temperature-controlled warehouse environment and contribute to efficient shipping, receiving, and logistics activities while following established procedures and safety standards. Responsibilities Continuously check print and seam quality to ensure products meet specifications. Identify, remove, and segregate defective material according to established procedures. Splice roll web back together following specification guidelines and standard operating procedures. Use a ruler, safety knife, and hole punch during the splicing process and at other times as needed, following all safety practices. Handle rolls carefully and palletize them in a manner that prevents damage and maintains product integrity. Recognize and understand basic printing and seam-related defects and take appropriate corrective actions or escalate issues. Record and enter production data accurately on designated paperwork and in the company operating system (Globetek). Support warehouse operations related to inventory, shipping, receiving, and logistics as needed. Participate in special projects that support production and warehouse efficiency. Perform other duties as assigned to support overall manufacturing and warehouse operations. Essential Skills Experience working in a manufacturing environment. Ability to identify basic printing and seam-related defects. Capability to use a ruler, safety knife, and hole punch safely and accurately. Basic understanding of warehouse operations, including inventory handling, shipping, receiving, and logistics. Ability to handle and palletize rolls carefully to prevent damage. Competence in recording and entering data accurately into paperwork and systems such as Globetek. Attention to detail and quality-focused mindset. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to specifications and procedures. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with warehouse management and warehouse inventory processes. Familiarity with warehouse management systems and logistics workflows. Comfort working with production and warehouse tools and equipment. Willingness to participate in training and learn additional tasks as needed. Why Work Here? The operation uses systems such as Globetek for recording and managing production data. Openings are available on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, providing flexibility in scheduling. You will receive on-the-job training from an experienced trainer and are expected to follow warehouse safety practices and any applicable dress or personal protective equipment guidelines appropriate for a production and warehouse setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Batavia, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
