Job Title:
Production Worker Job Description The Production Worker operates as an integral part of the production line, supporting the manufacturing of copper tubing by feeding and monitoring machines, handling materials, and accurately recording production data. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment, and a willingness to assist at different stations along the line as needed. Responsibilities Feed production machines with raw materials in a safe and consistent manner. Oversee production lines and continuously monitor equipment for jams, malfunctions, or irregularities. Identify and clear jams or issues on the production line promptly to minimize downtime. Measure products and materials accurately, including length, weight, and dimensions. Record production data such as meters, quantities, and dimensions with accuracy and completeness. Load and unload materials and products as required throughout the shift. Assist in operating, adjusting, and setting up production machines when needed. Support material handling activities, including moving, staging, and organizing materials for production. Perform basic assembly and general labor tasks associated with the production line. Remain open-minded and flexible to work at different stations on the line based on operational needs. Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area. Communicate any equipment issues or production concerns to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner. Essential Skills Previous manufacturing experience in a production or industrial environment. Good understanding of measurements, including length, weight, and other basic dimensions. Ability to work long hours in a non-climate-controlled facility. Comfort working around older and sometimes outdated machinery. Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to notice and respond to machine issues. Ability to handle repetitive tasks while maintaining attention to detail. Capability to perform physical tasks such as standing, lifting, and moving materials throughout the shift. Willingness to be flexible and assist at different stations on the production line. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience operating, adjusting, and setting up production machines. Background in electro-mechanical work, maintenance, hydraulics, or troubleshooting. Experience in material handling and feeding materials into machines. Previous experience in assembly, industrial production, or general labor roles. Familiarity with recording production metrics such as meters, quantities, and dimensions. Ability to adapt to working with older production equipment and processes. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is based in a copper tubing manufacturing plant that uses older and sometimes outdated machines, providing a traditional industrial production setting. The facility is non-climate-controlled, so temperatures can vary depending on the season. Work is available across multiple shifts: first shift typically runs from 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., second shift from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., and third shift from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., with overtime on Saturdays as needed. The role is physically active, requiring extended periods of standing, material handling, and working around large production equipment, with appropriate workwear suitable for an industrial environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shawnee, OK. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $14.75 - $14.75/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
