Production Worker

Production worker, part-time Reports to: Production Manager Gudebrod has a rich history that dates to 1870, when it was established in Middletown, Connecticut. Over its history, Gudebrod has manufactured and distributed textile produced specialty textile braids, yarns, and threads products to medical, aerospace, apparel, jewelry, and fishing industries. Today, Gudebrod products are distributed through hundreds of retail locations for a variety of applications.

Job Summary:

The position requires the operation of a variety of production process, completing those activities effectively and efficiently consistent with a production plan. Individuals in this role must be detail oriented and possess basic math skills. It is also expected that the production worker has adequate physical strength to successfully execute the work associated with the position. The work week is part-time, Monday through Friday, depending on the requirements of the business. This position does not require travel.

Duties and Responsibilities:

While the day-to-day duties of the production worker are determined by the employer, there are many core tasks associated with the role. Based on our analysis of job listings, these may include:

• Setup the production area to complete all assigned tasks, and monitor the production of processes consistent with production expectations
• Inventory control and counting of product inventories

Maintenance:

Cleaning and maintaining work areas, tools, and equipment

• Adhere to safety standards: Follow safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents
• Other activities to be determined and assigned as required Qualifications, skills and qualities: The production worker should have a passion for organization.

The ideal candidate works well in a team environment and can multitask while paying close attention to details.

Skills include the following:

• Communication skills: the production worker will interact with many people, including suppliers, supervisors, and employees. It's important to be an effective, detailed communicator for activities to run smoothly. Fluency in English is expected.
• Attention to detail: Ability to work in a fast-paced environments while paying close attention to production details, record maintenance, and order discrepancies.
• Problem-solving skills: the production worker are natural problem-solvers, with the ability to research, escalate to management issues identified, and resolve issues effectively.
• Physical stamina: Ability to stand for long hours and perform repetitive tasks
• Team player: the production worker will interact and collaborate with others on a regular basis, and may work independently; they are required to be team players to allow the organization to achieve production goals Work environment:
