Job Description

Company Overview Dexter-Russell Inc. is the largest manufacturer of professional cutlery in the United States. Our company has a proud heritage dating back to 1818, combining centuries of craftsmanship with innovative manufacturing techniques to deliver high-quality products for foodservice, processing, fishing, and industrial markets. Summary We are seeking a dedicated Production Worker I to join our manufacturing team in the Blade Finishing Department. This role is vital in supporting our mission to produce durable, high-quality cutlery that meets the needs of professionals worldwide. Based at our facility, you will contribute to maintaining our tradition of excellence by performing a combination of production tasks including loading machinery, positioning work, setting up jobs, and adjusting and operating machinery. This role also observes machine processing for proper functioning and production of parts or products, loads and unloads materials, parts or products and delivers parts or stock to designated work areas. Responsibilities Set up and operate laser etch equipment Set up and operate press Operate serrating equipment Operate polishing equipment Manual belt finishing Collaborate with team members to meet production targets. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Complete any other duties assigned by supervisor or department manager Qualifications Prior experience in manufacturing or factory settings preferred. Strong attention to detail and safety consciousness. Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Physical ability to perform manual tasks and stand for extended periods as well as the ability to lift 40 lbs. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Proficient computer skills. Strong ability to work as a team. Strong ability to multitask. Able to comply with quality standards and production priorities. Prior machining experience. Must be able to speak, read, and write in English which is the required language of the position. The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, i.e. standing, stooping, walking, climbing stairs. Pay:
$18.00 - $21.00 per hour
