HomeCare of Southeast Texas is seeking experienced caregivers with at least 6 months of personal or professional caregiving experience to provide in-home, non-medical care to clients in Southeast Texas. Whether your experience comes from caring for a family member or working in a professional setting, we are looking for individuals who are passionate about helping others and improving their quality of life.Responsibilities:
Attend to clients' non-medical needs, providing general assistance and support. Offer companionship, engaging clients in conversations, reading, and other social activities. Help maintain clients' mental alertness (awareness and responsiveness) through activities tailored to their interests. Provide emotional support, ensuring clients feel valued and comforted. Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment in the client's home. Perform light housekeeping duties, such as laundry for clients' clothing and linens. Prepare and serve meals, making sure the kitchen is clean afterward. Accompany clients on walks, doctor's appointments, and other outings. Help clients with grooming and dressing, ensuring their personal care needs are met. Remind clients to take self-administered medication (medications they take on their own, with reminders from you). Observe and promptly report any changes in a client's physical, mental, or emotional condition to your supervisor. Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, their families, and co-workers. Participate in ongoing training, staff meetings, and client discussions as needed. Complete accurate documentation of the services you provide. Safely use all equipment and supplies. Protect the confidentiality of all client information. Perform any additional related duties as assigned.Qualifications:
6 months of personal or professional experience. Reliable transportation to and from work. Valid Texas Drivers License and vehicle insurance. Strong communication skills and compassion for helping others. Ability to work independently and in a team setting. Reliable, patient, and detail-oriented. Ability to pass a background check.Benefits:
