Job Description
The Thrasher Group is a multi-disciplinary firm growing through the Mid-Atlantic over the past 40 years. Our team is composed of professionals in civil engineering, architecture, landscape architecture, and field services with a passion for the work we do. Our Survey Division is seeking a Professional Surveyor to join our team in Charleston, WV to work on a variety of projects from inception to completion. Thrasher employs one of the largest survey departments in the Mid-Atlantic region and offers a wide range of surveying and geomatic related services for federal, state, and private clients. We are seeking an Assistant Survey Project Manager to join our Survey Division in Bridgeport, WV. In this role, you will help lead the successful delivery of survey projects by providing technical oversight and quality control, supporting project planning and execution, and mentoring field and office staff to produce accurate, consistent, and timely deliverables. Essential duties & responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Demonstrate the ability to lead all aspects of surveying and geomatics department, which potentially includes several field crews and supporting technical staff members Manage survey or geomatics projects for both the public and private sector Identify and develop business opportunities with new and existing clients Report to and maintain contact with key staff and offices of the organization to ensure department success and sustainability Plan, organize, supervise, and mentor survey crews, technicians, and other internal staff members Coordinate assignments that aide in project management and deadline adherence Successful candidates will: Have and maintain licensure for PS in the State of WV Possess a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar capacity The ability to lead a team and provide mentorship Experience using Trimble equipment is preferred Strong time management skills Ability to organize and prioritize appropriately, based on project scope Leadership skills and mentorship capabilities High levels of productivity working independently and collaboratively The Thrasher Group provides an excellent benefit package which includes health, dental and vision insurance, paid parental leave, health savings account, company paid short- and long-term disability, 401K matching, paid-time off, tuition assistance and much more.
