Job Description
Job Summary Under the direct supervision of the Program Manager, the Program Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the implementation of the Crime Victim Support (UV) Program. The purpose of this program is to increase access to culturally appropriate victim services for unserved/underserved victims/survivors of crime. This position will serve as an advocate for crime victims and also an outreach specialist for the program. Essential Functions 1. Direct Services to Victims/Survivors
- Coordinate individual counseling services for victims/survivors. Ensure the service providers are individuals able to offer counseling services per California Law.
- Document and track all referrals made. Provide assistance with appointment scheduling for victims/survivors when needed.
- Assist victims with applying for compensation benefits through the California Victim Compensation Board.
Activities may include:
- Advising of the availability of such benefits
- Assisting with application forms and understanding procedures
- Obtaining necessary documentation to support the claims
- Monitoring claim status 2. Outreach and Education
- Conduct and coordinate outreach and education opportunities to inform victims/survivors of their rights and services they can access.
- Prepare, publish and distribute informational materials.
- Conduct workshops and webinars. 3. Criminal Justice Support and Advocacy
- Provide advocacy when necessary to intervene on behalf of the victims/survivors with criminal justice agencies such as office of district attorney, law enforcement, prosecution, courts, and probation) and provide assistance with the following:
- Accompaniment to criminal justice offices and court.
- Transportation to criminal justice offices and court.
- Assist victims/survivors in obtaining childcare to enable court attendance.
- Assist with victim impact statements. 4. Administrative Duties
- Attend meetings to review the program including progress tracking, case discussion and sharing and performance evaluation.
- Assist with agenda preparation and minutes taking.
- Prepare verbal and written reports to the supervisor.
- Retain all documentation related to the program.

Full-time Pay:
$22.00- $26.
