Job Description

Responsible for implementing international projects of low to medium budget, complexity, risk, and strategic significance with full responsibility in a global context; provide engineering support to business units, customers, and suppliers on project engineering related issues; implement, customize, and integrate all the multi-location resources required to meet customer engineering requirements; provide engineering support to project teams through application of deep engineering knowledge, ensuring optimal fulfillment and adherence to quality guidelines, costs, and deadlines; apply and enforce HELLA procedures regarding the project management field and their implementation in daily tasks; drive and execute international projects with a clear focus on high performance of predefined goals, including project setup, ensuring its successful implementation at all involved locations; develop and apply continuous improvement measures to project management standards, including processes, methods, and tools; plan, track, and meet project, quality, timing, and commercial targets, and explain facts, practices, and policies to other teams within the organization where past practices or divergent views constrain agreement; plan internal and external capacities in collaboration with team members and stakeholders, taking individual potential and competence into account; plan, coordinate, and steer work packages and milestones within a project team using prescribed engineering methods and systems; integrate internal and external service providers, taking into account economic, qualitative, and schedule-related aspects to successfully achieve project targets; utilize project acquisition, KPI's management, and quality improvement to perform duties; monitor project status, considering continuous processing and interpretation of internal and external information; monitor the project workflow, and in the case of engineering deviations, changes, or change requests, target specifications, ensuring internal alignment with all relevant stakeholders; coordinate and execute engineering change management in international project setups with a clear focus on profit and loss; steer engineering change evaluations, approvals, and implementation steps; analyze, develop, and implement best engineering solutions for the Company, as well as benchmark industry standards; monitor and track successful implementation of engineering changes in all impacted locations, and actively drive positive engineering change opportunities; plan risks and opportunities management activities based on project information, external factors, stakeholder inputs, and industry policies and procedures to define, fund, and staff effective risks and opportunities; responsible for management processes for the project, aligning with the overall Company strategy; develop and recommend project risks and opportunities strategy based on project objectives; proactively escalate engineering deviations from targets, and illustrate existing alternative solutions for a successful project; and identify engineering concerns and update or modify working methods, maximizing quality and feasibility.

Northville Township, MI and various unanticipated locations throughout the US;
Salary:
$144,955 per year;
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);
Experience:
Six (6) months in the position above, as a Continuous Improvement Engineer, as a Logistics Engineer, as a Process Engineer, as a Project Manager, as a Purchasing Engineer, or in a related occupation;
