Job Description
Welcome! We are Growing and are looking for an experienced Residential House Manager. We are a strong team with a kind and caring culture. We are seeking intrinsically motivated, detail oriented and innovative people to join our team and support our Farmers and each other. Who are we? Farmsteads of New England is a unique Farm designed to support individuals diagnosed with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities, as well as individuals diagnosed with Acquired Brain Disorders. We provide support, care, and lifelong memories. What will I do? As a House Manager, you will lead team members and oversee one of FNE's residential homes that support up to 4 individuals and help them live their best lives. You will ensure that the program is well-coordinated, effective, and supportive for individuals, families and staff. Daily Responsibilities Prioritize kindness, dignity, respect, communication, and integrity. Work with Farmers to discover their dreams and achieve them. Provided and maintain a safe working environment. Provide leadership while executing the mission, vision and goals of Farmsteads of New England. Ensures all program staff follow all agency and program philosophy, ISA goals, objectives, and coordination responsibilities, to include ensuring that all Area Agency documentation is completed in a timely fashion. Supervise and evaluate assigned staff. Ensure that staff receives appropriate certifications and training to perform duties adequately. Develop and monitor scheduling of staff across the program to ensure economy and program coverage. Participate in admission process of residents and develops discharge plans, to include intake, psychosocial assessments, and development of appropriate resident services. Coordinate service planning and other meetings with residents, guardians and/or family members a minimum of once annually according to program funding requirements. Assist individuals with obtaining all services and entitlements for which they qualify, to include, housing, inspections, insurance benefits. Maintain sturdy communication and relationships with outside agencies. Conduct staff meetings. Interpret and monitor program budgets. Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
A fantastic sense of humor and caring heart. A kind disposition and desire to help others succeed. Bachelor's Degree and two years of program experience, or three high school diploma and years' related experience. Background in administrative functions including supervision of staff, hiring, terminations, staff development and evaluation. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing and ability to use good judgment. Must have basic computer knowledge. High energy level, superior interpersonal skills and ability to function in a team atmosphere. Strongly prefer a candidate that will have a demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving individuals with I/DD and Acquired Brain Disorders. A valid driver's license. Ability to pass all applicable DCYF, BEAS, Local Law, Federal and other required background screenings per applicable regulations. 18 Years or older at the time of hire U.S. Citizen or possession of necessary papers allowing holder to work legally in the United States. Personal/Professional experience caring for others is a significant plus.
