Department Information The Office of Disability Services collaborates with students, faculty, and staff to create a campus environment that ensures all students have an equal opportunity to access the Georgia Tech community. If students encounter academic, physical, technological, or other barriers on campus, the Disability Services team collaborates with the student to find creative solutions and reasonable accommodation The provision of accommodations is a shared responsibility between the student, faculty, and the Office of Disability Services (ODS). Students who have exam accommodations may take their exams at the Testing Center Job Summary Coordinate and provide professional and administrative support for targeted programs and/or projects and unit initiatives. This position will interact on a regular basis with: Faculty and staff. This position typically will advise and counsel: Faculty and staff.

  • Plan, execute and provide assistance for meeting and event logistics and scheduling Job Duty 2
  • Establish schedules, oversee arrangements and provide logistics support for targeted programs and/or projects and unit initiatives Job Duty 3
  • Evaluate, assess and report on the feasibility and sustainability of potential programs, projects and initiatives Job Duty 4
  • Provide necessary support related to the identification and execution of adopted unit programs/projects and other unit initiatives Job Duty 5
  • Develop, arrange/coordinate meetings and project materials for distribution, as necessary Job Duty 6
  • Compile, organize and analyze data for use in reports for targeted programs/projects and other unit initiatives Job Duty 7
  • Monitor and update appropriate stakeholders of progress/milestones for program/project objectives Job Duty 8
  • Perform other duties as assigned Responsibilities This positions primary function is to coordinate and manage approved testing services for students with disabilities.
Duties may include but are not limited to: Coordinate and manage approved testing services for students with disabilities including private proctoring, and departmental proctoring. Ensure an efficient and professional testing environment is maintained. Hire, train, and supervise all Testing Center temporary and student staff Communicate with faculty regarding all testing issues including pick up, delivery, formatting, special materials or procedures and specific instructions. Implement and update procedures to ensure test integrity and security from receipt to return Map out testing space and make any other necessary arrangements to provide appropriate accommodations and optimal use of testing resources. Work with IT support personnel to ensure all testing computers are in good working order, have appropriate software installed, and are updated as appropriate. Required Qualifications Educational Requirements Technical Diploma, Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Other Required Qualifications Overnight travel required for project delivery; flexibility in on-site daily service delivery hours degree preferred or equivalent work (due year client shift schedules, project requirements). Required Experience Three to five years job related experience Preferred Qualifications Additional Preferred Qualifications Experience working with students with disabilities at postsecondary level Preferred Educational Qualifications Bachelor's Degree Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities SKILLS Excellent written and verbal communication, customer service and organization skills. The ability to prioritize tasks, work independently and/or within a team environment. Other Information Salary range:
$23.10 to $25.50 per hour commensurate with experience
