Job Description
Position Overview A design driven architectural practice based in Reston, Virginia is seeking a Project Architect to join its collaborative team. The ideal candidate is a skilled communicator and problem solver who can guide projects from early concept through construction while balancing design integrity, technical accuracy, and client expectations. This role is suited for someone who is comfortable coordinating across disciplines, managing project documentation, and contributing to a positive team culture. Key Responsibilities Lead the development of architectural drawings and technical documents from schematic design through construction administration Coordinate project workflow and collaborate closely with consultants, engineers, and internal team members Oversee building code compliance, zoning requirements, and permitting processes Conduct site visits, review submittals, respond to RFIs, and provide construction phase support Prepare presentation materials including diagrams, renderings, and client meeting content Assist with project schedules, staffing coordination, and quality control reviews Support the design process with strong attention to detail, problem solving skills, and technical insight Qualifications Professional degree in Architecture 5 to 8+ years of architectural experience, preferably including work on Data Center and Mission Critical projects Strong proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite Understanding of building systems, construction methods, and documentation standards Experience with code research, permitting, and coordination with consultants Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills Architectural licensure or active pursuit of licensure preferred Get job alerts Share Copied to clipboard Related roles Practice Builder
