Job Description

This position will have some travel between Lake Orion and Bay City.
Job Summary:
The Project Manager must be able to manage multiple large complex projects & initiatives that require organizational coordination to achieve company metrics including on time, within budget, and customer satisfaction. Duties/Responsibilities Developing project requirements. Manage design development. Developing project timeline. Work with cost estimator to confirm estimates. Manage project schedules. Identify risks and communicate them. Clearly communicate status updates to all stakeholders and customer. Keep ERP and Project Management software up to date with current project status. Works closely with engineering, scheduling & all other internal teams to usher projects through entire project life cycle (design to production). Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
The ability to convey information clearly, listen actively, and foster open communication. The ability to organize tasks, resources, and timelines is crucial for keeping projects on track and meeting deadlines. Identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks ensures that potential issues are addressed before they impact the project negatively. Basic understanding of budgeting, financial tracking, and resource allocation. Listen and understand customer's requirements, needs, and issues to form a solution. Able to work as part of a team. Can work in a fast-paced environment. Exhibits sound judgement and effective decision making. Proactive, self-starter approach to working. Understanding of project management tools. Ability to travel as needed (est. 5-10% maximum) Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Project Launch Quality:
Ability to work with the customer and internal stakeholders to deliver projects on time, on budget and in scope.
Risk Management:
Ability to identify and manage potential project risks negotiate with team members, stakeholders, or vendors to ensure project success.
Customer Satisfaction:
Feedback from internal stakeholders and customers on meeting expectations and building positive relationships.
Adaptability:
Projects can be dynamic, and circumstances may change. Being able to adapt to new information and evolving situations is key.
Education and Experience:
Bachelors in a Business (e.g. B.B.A) or Technical Degree (e.g. B.S.E) preferred. In lieu of a degree 4-8 years of experience in manufacturing-based project management may be considered.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to work in noisy environments Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly This role is accountable for all aspects of department performance including safety & environmental, quality, reliability, production, and productivity.
