It happens through accountability, communication, execution, and people who know how to own the hard part when projects get real.Position Summary:
We are hiring a Project Manager, Commercial Furniture & Fixed Seating to own the full post-sale lifecycle of our furniture and fixed seating projects from purchase order through delivery, installation, punch resolution, and final closeout. This is an execution role, not a coordination role. You will be the operational quarterback who keeps projects moving, communicates proactively, and drives accountability across all internal and external parties.Core responsibilities:
Manage projects from PO receipt through delivery, installation, punch resolution, and closeout. Build and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, and risk logs. Coordinate with GCs, subcontractors, manufacturers, freight partners, architects, and owner's reps. Partner cross‑functionally on installation scheduling, sequencing, and site readiness planning. Monitor timelines across manufacturing, shipping, delivery, and installation phases. Identify and communicate risks early; delays, changes, and field complications. Conduct site visits as needed for oversight, troubleshooting, and client satisfaction. Manage punch lists through final resolution; ensure clean and professional closeouts. Maintain accurate project documentation throughout the project lifecycle Required qualifications: 5+ years in project management within commercial furniture, fixed seating, construction interiors, specialty subcontracting, or architectural products. Proven experience managing post-award project execution through installation and closeout. Experience coordinating across manufacturers, freight, job sites, installers, and clients. Ability to manage multiple active projects with competing timelines and priorities. Strong written and verbal communication skills; proactive by nature. Willing to travel nationally as needed between 40-50%.Preferred qualifications:
Experience with fixed seating, stadium seating, or contract furniture environments. Familiarity with submittals, field verification, punch management, and installation logistics. Experience working with architects, owner's representatives, and general contractors. PMP or similar certification (not required) Thank you for considering a role with the Dreamseat Team.
