Job Description

An established and growing mechanical contracting firm in Massachusetts is seeking an experienced Mechanical (HVAC) Project Manager to lead commercial and institutional projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who excels at managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client relationships while delivering high-quality HVAC systems.

Key ResponsibilitiesManage HVAC/mechanical projects from award through completionDevelop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and forecastsCoordinate with engineers, superintendents, subcontractors, and vendorsReview drawings, specifications, and submittals for accuracy and constructabilityOversee procurement of equipment and materialsLead project meetings and serve as the primary point of contact for clientsEnsure compliance with safety standards, codes, and contractual requirementsTrack change orders, RFIs, and project documentationSupport commissioning, closeout, and turnover processesQualifications4+ years of experience managing commercial HVAC/mechanical projectsStrong knowledge of HVAC systems, piping, controls, and mechanical construction practicesProven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyExperience with budgeting, cost control, and schedulingProficiency with project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, or similar)Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skillsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)What's OfferedCompetitive salary based on experiencePerformance-based bonusesComprehensive benefits package (health, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO)Long-term career growth with a stable and reputable contractorCollaborative, team-oriented work environment
