Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead industrial field maintenance projects within power generation facilities and industrial steel environments . This role is responsible for managing maintenance and outage-related projects involving structural steel, boilers, turbines, conveyors, material handling systems, and supporting plant infrastructure. As well, the Project Manager needs extensive piping experience, specifically in chemical plants. The Project Manager will ensure all work is executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory, quality, and operational requirements. Key Responsibilities Manage maintenance, capital repair, and outage projects in power plants and industrial steel facilities from initial planning through close-out Develop detailed project scopes, schedules, and budgets for mechanical, structural steel, and plant maintenance work Coordinate field crews, supervisors, subcontractors, and equipment to support plant operations and outage timelines Act as the primary liaison between plant personnel, engineering teams, and clients Ensure compliance with plant safety standards, OSHA regulations, and site-specific safety programs Monitor project performance, including cost control, productivity, and schedule adherence Oversee work involving structural steel and pipe fabrication, installation, and repair or ability to manage subcontractors, fabrication, and field installation. Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize downtime and disruptions Review and understand technical drawings, specifications, and work packages Prepare progress reports, change orders, and project close-out documentation Experience developing proposals, RFI's, change orders, and progress billing Qualifications Minimum [7] years of project management experience in power plants, steel mills, or heavy industrial facilities Strong knowledge of power generation systems, industrial steel structures, and maintenance practices Proven experience managing outage work and working within operating plant environments Excellent leadership, planning, and communication skills with engineers, clients, and inspectors Ability to manage multiple projects under strict safety and operational constraints Preferred Skills & Certifications PMP or equivalent project management certification Experience with boilers, turbines, piping systems, and structural steel Familiarity with welding standards (AWS), inspection requirements, ASME, AISC, OSHA, and QA/QC processes Working knowledge of Microsoft, Primavera (P6), or similar scheduling tools OSHA 30 or equivalent safety training What We Offer Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits Opportunities to work on complex, high-impact power generation and industrial steel projects Long-term career growth in a safety-driven organization Collaborative work environment with skilled trades and technical professionals
Pay:
$115,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
