https://benquieandsons.com/ The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee residential remodeling projects from pre-construction through completion. This role is responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously while balancing field leadership, client communication, scheduling, budgeting, and overall project execution. Our Project Managers typically oversee approximately $3M in annual project volume across multiple active projects, with most projects ranging from $200K-$400K and larger projects reaching $2M+. The ideal candidate is comfortable balancing time between job sites and office responsibilities, enjoys working closely with both clients and field teams, and can adapt to established company systems and processes while helping projects move efficiently. What Success Looks Like Projects are delivered on time, on budget, and at a high level of quality Clients feel informed, confident, and supported throughout the process Trade partners are aligned, accountable, and performing at a high level Issues are anticipated and resolved proactively Projects transition smoothly from pre-construction to completion Key Responsibilities Project Leadership & Execution Oversee residential remodeling projects from pre-construction through completion Manage multiple active projects simultaneously Build, maintain, and adjust project schedules to keep projects on track Ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, and to company quality standards Client Communication & Experience Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners during construction Provide project updates and manage client expectations throughout the process Resolve issues proactively while maintaining a high level of professionalism Field & Trade Coordination Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, carpenters, and lead carpenters across multiple projects Conduct regular job site visits and quality inspections Support field teams and help solve construction-related challenges in real time Budget & Financial Management Monitor project budgets, costs, and financial performance Manage change orders and project documentation accurately Work closely with internal teams to maintain profitability and project alignment Internal Collaboration Partner with sales, estimating, design, and production teams Ensure smooth communication and project handoffs across departments Utilize project management software and digital tools to support efficient execution What You Bring Experience 3-7 years of residential construction or project management experience Strong field/construction background preferred Experience as a carpenter, lead carpenter, superintendent, or site supervisor is highly valued Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously Capabilities Strong scheduling and deadline management skills Strong budgeting and financial tracking abilities Comfortable coordinating multiple carpenters and field leads Ability to balance field leadership with office and administrative responsibilities Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Adaptable and open to learning company systems and processes Technology & Systems Comfortable learning and using digital tools and AI-assisted workflows Experience with JobTread or similar construction/project management software preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace preferred Compensation & Benefits Compensation Base salary: $85,000 to $95,000 annually , based on experience and qualifications Performance-based bonuses Benefits Package Company-paid health insurance (100% of base plan for full-time employees) 401(k) with 4% company match Profit-sharing program Company-paid $50,000 life insurance policy Company-paid short-term disability insurance Cell phone reimbursement or company-provided phone Paid Time Off (PTO): 6 paid holidays annually Why Join Ben Quie & Sons Work on unique, historically significant homes-not repetitive production projects Be part of a craftsmanship-driven, values-based company Collaborate with an experienced, high-performing team Lead meaningful projects that require creativity, problem-solving, and attention to detail Join a company focused on long-term quality and reputation, not short-term volume Hiring Process As part of our hiring process, selected candidates will complete: A Prevue assessment evaluating abilities, motivations, and personality fit A Wedge video interview screening How to Apply If you're interested in leading high-quality residential remodeling projects and working with a team that values craftsmanship, accountability, and client relationships, we'd love to hear from you.
