Williamsport or Mechanicsburg, PA This role includes a combination of field-based work and in-office collaboration. Field assignments may require travel to project sites throughout Pennsylvania and surrounding states. Safety & Compliance Requirements This position is designated as safety-sensitive and requires successful completion of all pre-employment screenings as a condition of employment. Responsibilities include operating company-owned vehicles and performing field-based work in active construction and utility environments. Continued compliance with RETTEW's safety policies is required throughout employment. Position Summary / What You'll Do The Project Surveyor is responsible for performing field surveys, managing data collection, and supporting the preparation of survey deliverables for a variety of projects. This position ensures accuracy in boundary, topographic, construction, and utility surveys and contributes to high-quality project execution.Responsibilities / Day
-to-Day Perform boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, construction stakeout, and utility surveys. Operate total stations, GPS/GNSS equipment, data collectors, and other survey instruments. Supervise and mentor field crews as needed. Ensure survey accuracy through proper field procedures and quality control measures. Collect, process, and manage field data for integration into CAD and mapping systems. Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and clients to clarify scope and field requirements. Maintain field notes, documentation, and project records in accordance with company standards. Adhere to and comply with Company Safety Protocol and Procedures. Qualifications Required Associate degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field; or equivalent field experience. Minimum 3 years of experience performing land surveying fieldwork. Proficiency with total stations, GPS/GNSS equipment, and data collectors. Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and terrain conditions. Preferred Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license or progress toward licensure. Experience withALTA/NSPS
surveys and construction stakeout. Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D or other survey processing software. Experience leading survey crews.
