Job Description

Our client is seeking a Project Accountant who will support the monthly close process, prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations, and assist with financial reporting and special projects. This is a hands-on opportunity for an accounting professional looking to grow within a collaborative accounting team.
Responsibilities:
Assist with monthly general ledger close process Prepare and post journal entries Perform general ledger account reconciliations Complete bank reconciliations Support internal and external financial reporting Assist with special projects and ad hoc accounting initiatives Provide support across the Accounting Department as needed Contribute beyond core responsibilities to support overall company objectives and departmental goals
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required 0-3 years of general ledger accounting experience Knowledge and understanding of GAAP Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, along with Word and Outlook Experience with QuickBooks preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong work ethic with willingness to support the team during peak periods and month-end deadlines Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion Property management and/or residential construction industry experience is a plus Key Traits for

Hands-on and team-oriented mindset Strong time management skills Reliable and deadline-driven Adaptable and willing to take on additional responsibilities as business needs evolve Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
