Job Description

We are looking for two Property Assistants that will support day to day operations of the organization. As a trusted behavioral health organization committed to providing care in the community since 1955, we offer an array of comprehensive services for youth, adolescents, and adults.
Job Scope :
The Property Assistant supports the day-to-day maintenance, appearance, and upkeep of organizational properties. Responsibilities include completing maintenance work orders, conducting routine inspections, performing general handyman repairs, and assisting with preventive maintenance to ensure buildings remain safe, clean, and well-maintained. Duties may include basic plumbing, painting, light electrical work, carpentry, appliance setup, and grounds upkeep. The role also supports compliance with safety procedures and emergency protocols while providing prompt and professional service to residents and property management. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills are essential, along with reliable transportation and flexibility in scheduling. Primary Responsibilities Complete work orders as requested by the Facilities & Property Manager and/or Operations Director to include moving office furniture, connecting phones and computers, changing light bulbs, AC filters, painting, plumbing, light electrical, light carpentry, and other general maintenance duties as assigned. Assist with preventive maintenance on each residential property utilizing work order system to track all repairs. Conduct daily inspection of buildings, grounds, and equipment. Coordinate tasks needed to maintain buildings and grounds in a state of good repair, cleanliness, and attractive appearance. Ensure building compliance is up to code. Perform handyman tasks and seasonal upkeep as needed. Knowledgeable of all property emergency, safety/disaster plans and procedures. Provides vehicle maintenance/ inspection. Oil changes, tires, and tune ups. Education and Experience High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Good organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills Ability to prioritize and multi-task Skilled at renovation and repairing Must have vehicle, valid Illinois driver's license, and auto insurance Schedule Monday
