Prove Up NDT Operator

NDT Operators Purpose:

Performs NDT Test on pipes deciding their approval or rejection, in a safe and efficient manner according to applicable procedures, complying with defined quality standards.

Main Activities:

• Executes change over and set up of the machine.
• Ensures instruments are in good condition checking their expiration date and correct functioning.
• Executes calibration of the machine.
• Verifies Standard Pipe.
• Executes static and if applicable dynamic verification.
• Performs machine operation.
• Performs Ultrasonic Test on pipes.
• Supervises Prove Up.
• Carries out or controls defect identification and marking.
• Makes the decision of approving or rejecting pipes in accordance to quality requirements.
• Checks specifications on manufacturing orders.
• Performs quality reports of pipes notifying the defects found.
• Assists machine lock outs and tag outs and does operative maintenance (coupling fluid, probes adjustments, etc.).
• Updates information in the tracking systems and records the obtained results.
