Schedule:

Will work on a rotating shift.

Purpose:

Performs the operation of controlling heat treatment process and furnace adjustments in complex facilities, in a safe and efficient manner according to applicable procedures, complying with defined quality standards.

Main Activities:

• Turns on and off the furnace.
• Executes change over and set up of the machine.
• Controls and adjusts furnace temperature.
• Controls combustion and regulates burners.
• Eliminates waste on furnace refractory.
• Carries out equipment inspection such as checks seals, instruments or furnace structure.
• Performs furnace auxiliary operations such as mandrel heat treatment.
• Controls control loops such as air-gas relation, furnace pressure or exchanger temperature.
• Performs driver's pre sets.
• Reads production and sequencing programs and defines the cycle changing time.
• Monitors operative and technologic alarms and performs process adjustments.
• Interprets specifications.
• Takes decisions regarding quality issues.
• Coordinates activities with other functions.
• Updates information in the tracking systems.
• Assists machine lock outs and tag outs and does operative maintenance (refrigerating fluid, machine adjustments, etc.

).
