As a PMHNP at Light Counseling, you will play a vital role in helping clients experience stability, clarity, and hope through compassionate, clinically excellent care.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and establish accurate diagnoses Develop and manage individualized treatment plans Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications in compliance with regulations Provide brief psychotherapy and patient education when appropriate Order and interpret labs and diagnostic tests as needed Collaborate with therapists and other providers to ensure coordinated care Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development Provide care for child, adolescent, and adult populations Perform additional duties as neededWHAT YOU BRING
Strong clinical knowledge of psychiatric disorders and psychopharmacology Ability to assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of mental health conditions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage a caseload in a fast-paced outpatient setting Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Comfort working with diverse populations Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systemsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing (MSN or DNP) Board Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Virginia Prescriptive authority with active DEA registration Experience in outpatient psychiatric care Ability to work with adolescent and adult populations Ability to pass required background checksPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years of PMHNP experience Experience with telehealth and integrated care models Experience collaborating within a multidisciplinary team Interest in working in a faith-based environmentBENEFITS
