Administer medications and treatments such as psychotropic drugs, IV infusions, and botulinum toxin treatments with precision and adherence to safety protocols. Monitor patient progress, document clinical observations accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner, and adjust care plans accordingly. Provide patient education on medication management, coping strategies, and wellness practices tailored to diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, and individuals with developmental disabilities. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—including psychiatrists, social workers, occupational therapists, and case managers—to coordinate comprehensive care delivery. Assist in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques during acute episodes or behavioral health emergencies. Support discharge planning by educating patients and families on post-treatment care, community resources, and follow-up appointments. Requirements Valid RN license in the state of practice with current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification. Proven experience working with behavioral health populations in settings such as hospitals, psychiatric facilities, or community clinics. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner for accurate medical documentation. Knowledge of psychiatric medications including psychotropics and botulinum toxin treatments; experience with medication administration protocols. Strong assessment skills across diverse patient groups including memory care residents, individuals with developmental disabilities, and those requiring acute pain management. Ability to perform physical examinations, vital signs monitoring, IV insertions, venipuncture, suturing assistance, and aseptic techniques when necessary.
