Company Overview NWI Clarity Clinic is a dedicated mental health private practice serving the Northwest Indiana communities. Our multidisciplinary team of clinicians collaborates closely to provide comprehensive psychiatric, psychological, and psychotherapy services, supporting patients on their journey toward mental health wellness and an improved quality of life. Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in psychiatric diagnosis and treatment, with a focus on diverse patient populations including children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. This role involves providing expert psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and psychotherapy to promote optimal mental health outcomes across outpatient and inpatient settings. The Psychiatrist will utilize their expertise in psychopharmacology, behavioral health, and crisis management to deliver high-quality patient care in a collaborative environment. Position offers either Part-Time or Full-Time opportunities. Contracting (w9) or employment (w2) options are available. Duties Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations to assess mental health conditions across various age groups, including pediatric and geriatric populations. Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating medication management, psychotherapy (including psychodynamic therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy), and other behavioral health interventions. Provide inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care, ensuring continuity of treatment through thorough medical documentation and accurate record-keeping in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including working with individuals with developmental disabilities or those experiencing PTSD or addiction issues. Utilize telehealth platforms effectively to expand access to mental health services while maintaining high standards of patient confidentiality and data security. Manage crisis situations efficiently through crisis management protocols, ensuring patient safety and appropriate intervention. Stay current with advancements in psychiatry, psychopharmacology, and mental health counseling techniques to deliver evidence-based care. Qualifications Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry. Post-residency experience in behavioral health settings, including inpatient or outpatient clinics. Demonstrated expertise in pediatric psychiatry, geriatrics, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology, diagnostic evaluation methods, and medical terminology. Experience in providing psychotherapy, such as psychodynamic therapy or cognitive behavioral therapy is preferred. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards is essential. Proven ability to manage crisis situations effectively while maintaining professionalism under pressure. Excellent communication skills for patient assessment, treatment planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
