Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Psychometrist to join a small private practice focused on neuropsychological assessment for children and adults. In this vital role, you will administer assessments and questionnaires, conduct testing procedures, and gather comprehensive data to support diagnosis and treatment planning. Your expertise will help clinicians develop personalized care strategies for individuals across a diverse range of needs, including developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, attentional difficulties, anxiety or depression, and other behavioral health conditions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing precise evaluations and contributing to the overall well-being of our clients. Please note this is a part time position. Responsibilities Administer standardized psychological tests and assessments accurately and efficiently, ensuring adherence to protocols. Score assessments and questionnaires Collect and record detailed data on patient behaviors, responses, and presentation during assessments. Clearly communicate this information with providers. Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and security of medical records and sensitive data. Support crisis intervention efforts when necessary by recognizing signs of distress or escalation during testing sessions. Utilize behavior management strategies during assessments to ensure a safe and supportive environment for clients with diverse needs. Consults with vendor representatives on new testing equipment and materials. May recommend selection of psychology testing materials. Oversees implementation of new testing equipment. Experience Bachelor's Degree in psychology, human service or closely related field required; related master's degree preferred. Proven experience working with children, individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or behavioral health conditions. Proficiency in administration of broad range of psychological tests and batteries to both children and adolescents. Experience should demonstrate familiarity with intelligence screenings and tests such as WISC, WPPSI, WAIS and achievement testing (such as Woodcock Johnson and WIAT). Experience with neuropsychological tests/screening instruments preferred. Must demonstrate excellent mathematical skills as well as effective interpersonal skills and ability to multi-task to solve problems creatively. Experience conducting medical documentation, recording observations, and understanding medical terminology related to behavioral health.
