Job Description

Company Overview We are for an experienced, professional, and outgoing PT Specimen Collector in the Coopers Mills/Whitefield, Maine area.
Schedule:
Saturday - 12pm-9pm Sunday 12pm-9pm To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty to a satisfactory standard. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Duties include but are not limited to:
Specimen Collector Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that all patient paperwork is filled out correctly and all necessary information has been captured at the time of the collection
  • Update and maintain patient information and records, as necessary, while ensuring patients complete privacy, observing HIPAA regulations into laboratory information system.
  • Perform and follow specimen (urine, blood, and saliva) collection protocols for specimen collection.
  • Monitor and maintain supplies and supply records for all clinic needs. Communicating to lab any supply requests in a timely manner.
  • Securely and safely package specimens for pick up by the lab's courier service.
  • Follow general work protocols regarding breaks and cell phone usage during business hours.
  • Adherence to all clinic policies and OSHA standards/policies Education and/or
Experience:
HS Diploma or GED. Minimum of 1 year experience in
Customer Service Skills :
Be dependable and extremely well organized Strong work ethic, commitment to completing assigned tasks and dedicated to high quality work Outstanding attention to details, ability to multitask and the ability to complete the job without any errors Ability to work with patients in a professional and compassionate manner Ability to communicate well with the clinic's provider and laboratory management Be able to work independently with minimal supervision Dress in compliance with clinic needs. Driver's license and reliable transportation. Follow general work protocols regarding breaks and cell phone usage during business hours
