As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our Skilled Nursing Facility dedicated to the resident health and well-being. Responsibilities Assist physical therapists in the development and implementation of patient treatment plans, including exercises, activities, and modalities to achieve optimal functional outcomes Provide specialized patient care, including mobilization, transfers, and gait training, under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress, treatments, and outcomes Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and communication Provide education and guidance to patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic techniques, exercises, and self-care strategies Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher in Physical Therapist Assistant or related field preferred Current PTA certification and licensure in the state of Alabama Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping About the Role As a Physical Therapist Assistant at Elite Nursing and Rehabilitation, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our residents and patients.
