Description of Work :
Surry County Health & Nutrition Center has an immediate opening for a full-time Public Health Nurse II to work in our Nutrition department. The primary purpose of this position is to provide nutrition education and counseling for women, infants, and children participating in the WIC Program. This position will work as a part of the health care team to provide breastfeeding education, promotion, and support for those receiving WIC services. This position will collaborate with other county agencies to promote nutrition and health services; conduct group education as specified in the plan of care; and participate in program planning.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing and one year of professional nursing experience. Must have a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina by the N.C. Board of Nursing. Closes June 1st
Pay:
$53,744.00
