Purchasing Agent

Purchasing Agent Location:

Stoutland, MO | On-site Help power a busy, growing sign manufacturing operation where what you buy shows up on the production floor every day. In this role, you have vendor relationships, keep materials flowing, and make smart purchasing decisions that protect margins and keep customers happy. What You'll Do Source and purchase materials, components, and supplies that keep production on schedule. Request and compare quotes, negotiate pricing, and manage lead times to get the best value without slowing jobs down. Create, issue, and track purchase orders from request through delivery, catching errors before they hit the floor. Watch inventory levels and align purchases with production schedules and upcoming projects. Partner closely with inventory, production, and shipping to prevent shortages, rush orders, and missed deadlines Tackle order, delivery, quality, and invoicing issues with vendors and internal teams until they are resolved. Keep vendor, pricing, and item records clean, current, and reliable in our systems and spreadsheets. What You Bring Experience in buying, purchasing, or supply chain in a manufacturing environment (strong plus). Confident negotiation skills and the follow‑through to back them up. Comfort working with numbers, spreadsheets, and comparing cost, lead time, and quality tradeoffs. High attention to detail with the ability to juggle multiple vendors, quotes, and deadlines at once.
