Job Description:
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Purchasing Agent / Data Entry Clerk to support daily operations by managing procurement activities, maintaining accurate records, and providing excellent customer service. This role requires strong administrative skills, accuracy in data handling, and the ability to communicate effectively with vendors, customers, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Purchasing Duties:
Research, evaluate, and select vendors based on price, quality, and delivery speed Prepare and process purchase orders in a timely manner Monitor inventory levels and coordinate reordering to maintain optimal stock Track orders and ensure on-time delivery; resolve delays or discrepancies Maintain vendor records and negotiate pricing when appropriate
Data Entry Duties:
Accurately input, update, and maintain data in company systems and databases Verify data for errors or inconsistencies and correct as needed Generate reports and maintain organized digital and physical records Assist with documentation, filing, and recordkeeping procedures
Customer Service Responsibilities:
Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, or in person in a professional manner Assist customers with order status, product information, and issue resolution Coordinate with internal departments to ensure customer needs are met Handle complaints or concerns with a solution-focused approach
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree preferred) Previous experience in purchasing, data entry, or administrative roles is a plus Strong attention to detail and accuracy Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and data management systems Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
