Job description Crystal Cabinet Works is seeking a Purchasing and Receiving Manager to join our team in Princeton, MN! Since 1947, Crystal Cabinet Works has been a custom cabinet manufacturer located in central Minnesota. We are recognized for the exceptional value we build into every cabinet. We sell our fine cabinetry through independent kitchen and bath dealers throughout the USA and Canada. Our business is about crafting amazing cabinets with amazing people; working together to ensure everything fits together perfectly. Schedule and Pay On Site Monday through Friday 8:00AM - 4:30PM $112,628 - $135,380 Job Summary The Purchasing and Receiving Manager is responsible for assuring that all the right raw materials and components are at the right place at the right time to assure uninterrupted production. Job Duties Develops and implements purchasing as well as receiving policies and procedures to assure procurement of material and components in a cost-effective manner. Analyzes market and delivery conditions to determine the present as well as future material and component availability. Keeps informed of economic, industrial and other trends that affect markets, prices as well as delivery conditions. Reviews and monitors requisitions, supply sources, supplies, quotations, terms, etc. Recommends major purchase of materials based on anticipated changes in prices or unusual availability situations. Coordinates contract negotiations and vendor selection. Monitors the performance and capabilities of vendors to ensure maintenance of delivery, quality as well as price commitments. Purchases all hardwood plywood and lumber for Crystal Cabinet Works, Inc. Meets with vendors regularly and maintains a positive relationship with them. Works with manufacturing and quality departments to deal with material as well as component quality problems/opportunities. Interacts with vendors to reconcile quality problems. Directs and manages all receiving, warehousing and material distribution activities for raw materials. Assures the safekeeping and accurate accounting of all inventory including cycle counting as well as full inventory. Fills in and backs up Buyers as well as Inventory Assistant as needed. Maintains a working knowledge of Forestry Stewardship Council rules and regulations, implements them and maintains the FSC checkbook. Participates and contributes to daily production meetings and to assigned project teams. Prepares and present monthly activity report summarizing department activity. Conducts monthly safety audit, documents and takes corrective action as needed. Enters and adjusts information in the ERP system as needed. Communicates and interacts with all team members company-wide in a positive fashion. Supports and participates in Product Development process.
