Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Purchasing Department Assistant to support our purchasing team in the millwork and cabinetry industry. The ideal candidate has experience with cabinetry, millwork, woodworking materials, or construction-related purchasing and can efficiently assist with vendor coordination, material tracking, and administrative support. This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has strong communication and organizational skills. Responsibilities Assist the purchasing department with daily operations Create and process purchase orders Coordinate with vendors and suppliers regarding pricing, availability, and lead times Track material orders and delivery schedules Help maintain organized purchasing records and documentation Follow up on pending orders and backorders Assist with material takeoffs and project purchasing coordination Support inventory and material management as needed Communicate with project managers, installers, and office staff to ensure project needs are met Perform general administrative and office support tasks Qualifications Experience in millwork, cabinetry, woodworking, or construction industry preferred Purchasing or procurement experience is a plus Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Ability to understand cabinetry materials and project workflows Proficient in Microsoft Office, email communication, and data entry Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Detail-oriented, dependable, and proactive Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred Schedule Full-time Monday to Friday If you have any questions, please contact us at 956 766-2020
