Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Purchasing and Inventory Specialist to manage purchasing activities, maintain accurate inventory levels, and support smooth day-to-day operations. This role is responsible for ordering materials and supplies, tracking inventory movement, monitoring stock levels, and working with vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement. The ideal candidate is dependable, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and follow-through are essential. Key Responsibilities Create and submit purchase orders for materials, supplies, and equipment Monitor inventory levels and reorder stock as needed to prevent shortages or overstock Track incoming shipments and verify accuracy against purchase orders and packing slips Maintain accurate inventory records in company systems Perform routine inventory counts and assist with cycle counts and physical audits Reconcile discrepancies in inventory, shipments, and invoices Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, lead times, and delivery issues Work closely with operations, production, and accounting teams to support business needs Organize and maintain purchasing and inventory documentation Identify opportunities to improve inventory control and purchasing efficiency Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Previous experience in purchasing, inventory control, warehouse operations, or a related role preferred Strong attention to detail and accuracy Good organizational and time management skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic computer systems Experience with inventory or ERP software is a plus Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, walk, and move throughout the workday May occasionally lift up to 25-50 pounds, depending on workplace needs Benefits Competitive hourly pay at $18.00 per hour Health insurance and paid time off Opportunities for growth and advancement
